This course is designed to help students learn to use the computer as a tool to express creativity. It's objective is to discover how to get the computer to accomplish what design dictates, not the other way around. Computer skills will be developed by learning how the software works then applying this knowledge to a series of progressive design projects created with the computer then assembled by hand. Software utilized will be Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop as well as QuarkXPress. Prerequisite: Participants should be familiar with the Macintosh operating system.
